Four individuals, who, on April 5, have assaulted the driver of a minibus transporting parcels from Italy, after which they stole the car and abandoned it in a field, have been finally detained.
The information was made public by Ovidiu Scutelnic, a prosecutor at the Prosecutor's Office of Hincesti district, during a press conference. Scutelnic said the four people suspected of robbery were detained this morning, April 20, following searches at their residencies.
According to the data, the suspects are aged between 20 and 23 years and are residents of the capital. Likewise, three of them are law students at a university in the capital. They were detained for a period of 72 hours.
The prosecutor added that during the searches, the police found the objects with which the suspects committed the offense, but also narcotic substances, a hand-crafted device intended for the cultivation of drugs, as well as money means, the provenance of which is supposed to be from the illegal activity of marketing drugs.
If their guilt is proven, they risk up to 10 years in prison.
